We Care About Your Health & Safety

We feel it’s important to share the changes we are making in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). Here at the Oregon Garden Resort (and all Moonstone Hotel Properties), nothing is more important than the health and safety of our guests and employees.

While we always strive to maintain the highest standards when it comes to cleaning and maintaining our hotels, we're taking it even further by increasing the frequency of our cleanings on public areas and being very thorough in our guest rooms.

We are staying up-to-date on all of the latest developments and guidelines suggested by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, our local Health Departments and other appropriate agencies.

Here are the changes we have made, in order to provide peace of mind and ensure you we are taking the necessary precautions to keep you safe during your visit:

  • Rooms Left Vacant for Several Days Between Guests: We are rotating the use of our guest rooms as much as possible, leaving them vacant for several days between guests. According to the CDC, studies suggest that coronaviruses may persist on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days. After a guest checks out, we are cleaning and sanitizing the room, then leaving it vacant for several days before admitting a new guest into that room. In some limited cases, when there is only one of a specific room type available, this may not be possible. In that case, we would be happy to move you to another room type that has been vacant for several days.

  • We're now offering Contactless Check-In! You will receive a text message on the morning of your arrival, just click the secure link and fill in your payment information. You will be charged a $1 authorization that will be refunded immediately. That way, when you arrive, you won't have to hand us your cards! If you would rather share your information in person, you're welcome to do that too. In addition, we have added Plexiglass partitions to our front desk, for your safety.

  • Electrostatic Sprayers: We are using electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectant to sterilize high-touch areas in public locations and in our Moonstone Spa.

  • Sanitizing: Our housekeeping staff is regularly sanitizing all surfaces that are frequently touched using a disinfectant, certified to kill COVID-19. We are focusing on all surfaces in guest rooms (including doorknobs, light switches, countertops, microwaves, and remotes) and public spaces (terminals and pens at the front desk, stalls and surfaces in the bathroom, menus and tables in the restaurant, and more). We are also continuing to launder all linens and towels in hot, soapy water.

  • Social Distancing: We are maintaining a six-foot distance between our staff and guests at all times.

  • Face Coverings: Our staff, including housekeeping, food service, spa and others will wear face coverings, and we encourage our guests to join us.

  • Handwashing: We have continued to emphasize and train employees to follow our strict handwashing policies, which include requiring employees to wash their hands at least every 30 minutes (for at least 20 seconds) with soap and water. We also require employees to wash their hands every time after using the restroom and before eating, preparing or handling food. We ensure all soap dispensers have soap and paper towels present at all times and have signage posted in restrooms to remind guests of frequent and thorough hand washing practices.

  • Employees exhibiting any signs of sickness are prohibited from working.

Our Corporate and Management leadership teams are conferring regularly to closely monitor the situation and will continue to exceed official prevention guidelines, to help keep our property clean and safe. The health and safety of you and our employees is our highest priority.

Amenities: During this time, some of our amenities will remain closed, including our pool and hot tub, until further notice. The Oregon Garden is open to the public, please visit their website to learn more about the changes they have made.

We are especially grateful for your loyalty and we look forward to welcoming you whenever you're ready to travel again.
